Crime rate down in Samtse
Samtse’s crime rate has come down by 60 percent, preliminary figures for the first fourth months show. The records with Samtse police show, the two most common crimes, burglary and battery, has dropped considerably by 75 percent.

The special medical and rescue team deployed from Bhutan to lend assistance to Nepal in earthquake relief efforts is now camped near Tirsuli under Nuwakot District. Nawukot, located about 80 kilometre toward south-west of Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu is one of the worst hit districts.
PM visits Samtse-Haa highway
The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay visited the Samtse-Haa Highway on Saturday in Haa. The secondary national highway is currently under construction from Haa, and Samtse.

New road to shorten Haa-Chhukha distance
The Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay on his visit to Haa, said that a new road to shorten the distance between Haa and Chhukha would soon be under construction.
Bhutan’s team to be deployed in Nepal’s Nuwakot District
Rescue team from Bhutan to support Nepal's relief effort has been posted in Nuwakot District, about 80 kilometers from Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu. The team reached the site at around 11 this morning.
ACC freezes bank accounts in Phuentsholing
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has frozen seven bank accounts belonging to individuals and business firms in Phuentshogling. The bank accounts with Bank of Bhutan, Bhutan National Bhutan and Druk Punjab National Bank will remain frozen until the investigation is over.
Dasho Benji opposes DPT’s intention to withdraw case
Dasho Paljor J.Dorji’s Lawyer said his client will not agree with Druk Phuensum Tshogpa’s decision to withdraw the ongoing case between Dasho and the DPT. The Lawyer said Dasho wants to continue the legal battle.
