Crime rate down in Samtse

Samtse’s crime rate has come down by 60 percent, preliminary figures for the first fourth months show. The records with Samtse police show, the two most common crimes, burglary and battery, has dropped considerably by 75 percent.

ACC freezes bank accounts in Phuentsholing

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has frozen seven bank accounts belonging to individuals and business firms in Phuentshogling. The bank accounts with Bank of Bhutan, Bhutan National Bhutan and Druk Punjab National Bank will remain frozen until the investigation is over.

Dasho Benji opposes DPT’s intention to withdraw case

Dasho Paljor J.Dorji’s Lawyer said his client will not agree with Druk Phuensum Tshogpa’s decision to withdraw the ongoing case between Dasho and the DPT. The Lawyer said Dasho wants to continue the legal battle.
