Samtse Dzongkhag Tshogdu rejected the proposal to establish a Drayang in Samtse town. Members said such entertainment centres are associated with social nuisance.
The decision was unanimous, with all-hands in the air agreeing not to allow Drayangs in Samtse Dzongkhag, particularly in Samtse town.

The proposal was motioned by the Dzongkhag Culture Unit at the fifth Dzongkhag Tshogdu.
Initially, there were mixed views from the members. Some said Drayangs could create employment opportunities, while others were of the view that it would create social disharmony and threat to security.
After deliberating, weighing advantages over negatives- the tshogdu decided to reject the proposal to establishing Drayangs.
