EU commits € 52m

The Bhutanese government and the European Union (EU) signed the Agreed Minutes of the Seventh Biennial Consultations yesterday in Thimphu.

The Bhutanese side was represented by the Director General of the Department of Bilateral Affairs Kesang Wangdi, while the EU was represented by Paola Pampaloni, the Deputy Managing Director for Asia and Pacific of the European External Action Service.

Climate change adaptation and trade diversification are some of the project areas under the committed fund.

The Seventh Biennial Consultations between Bhutan and the European Union was held in Brussels in November last year.
