Famous Japanese singer perfroms at clock tower

A Famous Japanese singer, Kato Tokiko, performed a music concert at the clock tower square in Thimphu, today.

She performed 17 songs including a Bhutanese song “Kuzuzangpo”. Most of songs was her own compositions.

Aa-Yang music school’s founder, Jigme Dukpa, also accompanied her in the concert.

Her visit in the country is to further strengthen the relation between Bhutan and Japan. She came to Bhutan to express gratitude for Bhutan’s support to the people of Japan when earthquake and tsunami disasters struck the country in March last year.

Members of parliament, high government officials and hundreds of people gathered at the clock tower square to witness the music concert.
