The country’s top-tier professional football league, BOB Bhutan Premier League 2024 is set to begin next week. The opening match will be played between Transport United FC and Tsirang FC.
Five top teams from last year’s BOB Bhutan Premier League, four top teams from the recently concluded Pepsi Bhutan Premier League qualifiers and a team from BFF Academy will take part in the tournament. This was shared during their pre-match press conference today.
According to the Bhutan Football Federation, the tournament will be entertaining and competitive as there are four new teams including Daga United FC, Samtse FC, Phuentsholing Hero FC, and Tsirang FC. They are the top teams of the Pepsi Bhutan Premier League qualifiers. The federation added that there are about 25 foreign players in the upcoming BOB Bhutan Premier League 2024.
