The Royal Monetary Authority (RMA) opened its regional office in Monggar today.
The office will provide monetary related services to the people of all six eastern districts in the country.
People can visit the office to exchange their ngultrum notes to rupee notes.
They can also exchange torn Bhutanese currency notes and purchase commemorative notes and coins.
Earlier, people in the east travelled to Thimphu to avail these services.
