The mysterious deaths of more than a dozen pigeons have sparked fear of bird flu outbreak in Samtse.
The dead pigeons were first spotted on Saturday in the core town area and Phuentshopelri Gewog.
District livestock officials say the birds died due to worms in their intestine.
However, two samples have been sent to the National Center for Animal Health (NCAH) in Thimphu to determine the cause of the mass pigeon deaths.
