Minor arrested for an alleged murder

Thimphu Police have detained a 16-year-old boy for stabbing a 24-year-old man to death in Chamgang, Thimphu. The incident is said to have taken place yesterday evening.

Police said the deceased was taken to the national referral hospital but he died shortly afterwards due to excessive bleeding.

The suspect is believed to have had a personal grudge against the deceased. The deceased was playing carom with his friends when the  suspect came and stabbed him suddenly.

The suspect is a student of a school in Thimphu, while the deceased was an employee of Thimphu Thromde.
