Bhutanese fans working to support national football teamFootball is not always about winning and losing. It is equally about the passion that Bhutanese follow the game with. So, the national Bhutanese football team losing to Hong Kong, a few fans said, does not matter, as much, when it come to supporting the home team as Bhutan takes on China tomorrow.

Bhutan will face China in their second game of the second round of World Cup qualifiers. Apart from many supporters pouring in at the Changlimithang stadium to support the team, tens of thousands will watch the LIVE telecast on BBS 2 from 6 PM.Bhutanese fans working to support national football team--

A group of supporters have been working, for over a month. The group involves people from all walks of life.

“We are planning to make a very huge group to show the surprise to support our country. Even though we don’t have that much facility we are using simply thing like carton box. Everyone is working so hard,” said a volunteer, Ugyen Phuntsho Rabgay.

They, about 55 volunteers, received support from His Majesty’s Secretariat and local sponsors. They have also Bhutan Football Federation for the preparation.

“It does not matter whether you lose or win but the team should remember that the whole nation is behind them…,” said Dr.Tenzin, the coordinator.
