Banks might start giving housing loans within this month. It was revealed by the Finance Minister Namgay Dorji during the Meet the Press session, yesterday.

Lyonpo was responding to a question about the draft guidelines for Banks from the Royal Monetary Authority about loans.
During the session, various other issues were also highlighted including restriction of donations for kidney patients, electric vehicles, gewog development grant and mining.
The Meet the Press session is held every last Friday of every month.
