A 28-year-old man accused of “involuntary manslaughter” of his 30-year-old brother is in police custody in Samdrup Jongkhar.
Police said the incident took place on Wednesday night when the accused tried to stop a fight between the deceased and his wife. It is not certain what caused the death since the deceased suffered no injuries.
According to the police, the deceased was under the influence of alcohol. The deceased was working as a driver.
The case is under investigation.
As per the penal code, involuntary manslaughter is a felony of fourth degree with a prison term ranging from at least three years to a maximum of five years.
