The race for the BoB Women’s National League title is becoming increasingly competitive. Paro FC Women and RTC Women FC are level on points at the top, while Thimphu City Women FC are just two points behind. Recent results have kept the three teams closely packed at the top of the table.
Paro FC Women continue to lead the BoB Women’s National League standings on goal difference, with 17 points from seven matches.
They strengthened their position with a seven-nil win over Gelephu Girls Academy Under-20 in their latest match.
RTC Women FC are also on 17 points and remain level with the leaders. They recorded an eight-nil victory over Ugyen Academy Women FC in their recent fixture.
Just two points separate the top three, with Thimphu City Women FC sitting in third place.
They have scored the most goals in the league so far and kept their title challenge alive with a two-nil win over Transport United Ladies at Changlimathang Stadium yesterday.
Transport United Ladies remain fourth with nine points, six points behind Thimphu City.
Meanwhile, Gelephu Girls Academy Under-20 and Ugyen Academy Women FC occupy fifth and sixth places respectively, with one point each.
With the league still underway, the narrow gap at the top means the standings could change as the remaining fixtures are played.
