The public will have the chance to witness a special moment of Bhutan-Thailand relations as Their Majesties the King and Queen of Thailand are scheduled to visit Kuenselphodrang tomorrow. Sacred Buddha relics will be presented by His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn to His Majesty The King and will be on public display. His Holiness the Je Khenpo will also administer blessings to the public.
His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn will gift sixteen sacred Buddha relics to His Majesty The King tomorrow. The relics include eight in the form of mustard seeds and eight in the form of rice grains, serving as powerful spiritual symbols of devotion, royal friendship, and unity between the two nations. The relics are blessed and entrusted by His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand.
Additionally, four sacred relics of the Central Monastic Body will be on public display.
Tsugla Lopen Karma Rangdrol said, “We believe the relics embodies the living presence of the Buddha. The sacred relic gifted by the King of Thailand will be displayed tomorrow. Moreover, sacred relics from our own country will also be on display.”
Moreover, His Holiness the Je Khenpo will administer Tshepamaed and Tandin empowerments. The ceremony will begin at 8 AM tomorrow.
The Tsugla Lopen added, “We may never again witness such profound blessings as we will tomorrow, when two great Kings, two Queens, and members of the royal family gather, and His Holiness the Je Khenpo bestows empowerment. It is truly a fortunate day for all to partake in and receive blessings that bring every form of positivity into our lives.”
All devotees, families, and individuals can attend the sacred event tomorrow. To ensure a smooth and convenient experience, the public is encouraged to use the buses available from 3 AM onwards at Changlimithang Parking, RCSC Parking, Yangchenphug School Parking, and the South Bus Terminal at RTC junction. The entry will be closed after 8 AM tomorrow.
