JDWNRH successfully performs first Craniosynostosis surgery

A medical team at the National Referral Hospital in Thimphu successfully performed the country’s first Craniosynostosis surgery today. It took them four hours for the surgery. Craniosynostosis is a birth defect in which the bones in a baby’s skull join together too early. And it happens before the baby’s brain is fully formed.
