A 30-year-old man from Trashi Yangtse is under police custody in Gasa for involuntary manslaughter. The suspect was arrested on July 12 after he reported a stabbing case of a 60-year-old man from Dagana to the police.
According to the police, the victim, who was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident was stabbed on the right chest by a knife and succumbed to his injury.
The police said the suspect told them that the incident occurred inside the labour camp of Gasa Dzong Renovation while they were playing. Both the suspect and victim were friends and former workers of the Gasa Dzong Renovation. They were at the camp to meet one of their friends on the day of the incident.
The case is currently under investigation.
