National Assembly adopts Pay Revision Amendment Bill of Bhutan 2019

The National Assembly re-deliberated on the eight amendment recommendations received from the National Council on the Pay Revision Amendment Bill of Bhutan 2019 yesterday.

The House supported the amendment recommendations to change the Preamble text in Dzongkha and in Section 32 which is to change the Discretionary Allowance to Discretionary Grant.

The House adopted the Pay Revision Amendment Bill of Bhutan 2019 with 38 Yes votes and 3 Abstaining. The Pay Revision Amendment Bill of Bhutan 2019 will come into force retroactively from 1st July 2019.
