If you feel like there is something out there that you are supposed to be doing, and if you have the passion for it, then stop wishing and just do it. This is what Amarjeet Singh Chawla from India just did.

Amarjeet has embarked on a journey around the world. Following his passion at 60 to fulfil his dream, he started travelling the world alone last year. Today, he is here in Bhutan.

We all have travel goals but how many of us set out and hit the road? Amarjeet Singh Chawla, a father of two from India, travelled thirty-two countries including Bhutan and has completed 54,000 kilometres road trip till date. His road trip started in July last year.

It was Amarjeet’s childhood dream to become a traveller. At the age of 20, when Singh told his parents about travelling the world, they did not allow him because he had just completed his school and had a restaurant.

Time passed by and he felt that something was missing. And last year, after successfully running his own garment shop for years, he handed over the responsibility to his son and set out to pursue his dream.

“Age is just a number and you can do anything, trust me you can do anything, whatever you want to do, nothing is impossible, everything is possible. 90 per cent of people in this world, they are not doing what they really wanted to do, they were doing something else. I was doing something else. It held me 40 years to do my passion, to fulfil my dreams. Now at the age of 60, I am blessed and now I am doing what I wanted to do,” shared Amarjeet Singh Chawla, a Traveller from India.

His several health issues disappear the moment he starts to travel in his car. The car has turned into a scrapbook with messages of hope, love and inspiration.

“If I sit in my office for a couple of hours, my foot swells. I have high blood pressure, sugar and so many health issues. But when I start to drive, nothing happens. Trust me I can sit in this car for one week, it gives me pleasure like I am sitting on the lap of my mom. So beautiful feeling, because this is what I wanted to do. I wanted to become a traveller,” he added.

However, his passion does not end here in Bhutan. It is just the beginning to reach hundred countries.
