His Majesty The King graces parliament closing

His Majesty The King graced the closing ceremony of the first session of the third parliament today. His Majesty was accompanied by His Royal Highness Gyaltshab Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Wangchuk Namgyel, thanked His Majesty for the unwavering support.

The Speaker also thanked His Majesty for the various Kidu programmes to support and help the people and other noble initiatives for the benefit of the country.

The National Assembly Speaker also thanked His Holiness the Je Khenpo for conducting prayer ceremonies for the benefit of all sentient beings.

He highlighted some of the tasks undertaken during the first session of the third parliament, which include the endorsement of the 12th Five-Year-Plan and 2018-2019 Fiscal Year budget.

The Members of the Parliament led by Tshogi Lopen of the Zhung Dratshang offered Tashi Moenlam to His Majesty The King.
