The Druk Phuensum Tshogpa has declared two more candidates for the upcoming National Assembly elections. The candidates will represent the party from a constituency each in Bumthang and Wangdue Phodrang. The National Assembly elections will take place from November this year to January next year.
Thinley Tshering will represent the party from the Chhoekhor_Tang constituency in Bumthang.
The 32-year-old from Dazur village in Tang Gewog holds a bachelor’s degree in language and literature from the College of Language and Culture Studies in Trongsa. Prior to joining the party, he was engaged in dairy and commercial farming.
Similarly, Ugyen Tshering will contest from the Nyisho_Saephu constituency in Wangdue Phodrang.
The 34-year-old from Phangyul village holds a bachelor’s degree in Bhutanese and Himalayan studies from the College of Language and Culture Studies in Trongsa. Prior to joining politics, he served as an assistant research officer with the National Assembly.
The Druk Phuensum Tshogpa has declared 35 candidates, so far.
