Whereabouts of those abducted still not known(Update): Even after four months, the whereabouts of two men, who were abducted from Shantipur in India, are still not known.

The family of the 48-year-old Bhutanese man, who went missing from Shantipur in Assam, India, said they have not heard from the abductors after their last call. They had received the call a month after he was abducted demanding a ransom of Nu.2M.

One of the men abducted is an Indian.

The two men were on their way to Gelegphu from Phuentshogling, when their truck, carrying construction materials, broke down in Shantipur

Similarly, no one knows what happened to the 14-year-old boy who was abducted on December 16 from the fishery area in Gelegphu.

The victim’s family received the last call about two weeks after the abduction, demanding ransom.

The family members said they do not know if the boy is alive or not.

Meanwhile, the Royal Bhutan Police, with the help of its Indian counterpart, are still investigating the case.
