The National Assembly has accepted all amendments made by the National Council on the Biological Corridor Nine Bill of Bhutan 2023. The National Council earlier this week repealed a few sections including the prohibition, and offence and penalties from the Bill. The Bill was sent for re-deliberation to the National Assembly and the house adopted the Bill today with all 41 members voting in favour of it. The Bill will be now submitted to His Majesty The King for Royal Assent. The Biological Corridor Nine connects Sakteng Wildlife Sanctuary and Bumdeling Wildlife Sanctuary.
