His Majesty The King granted an audience to the 2017 and 2018 graduates of the Royal Institute of Management (RIM), Thimphu on Friday.
A total of 179 graduates attended the 22nd RIM convocation. They completed various master’s programmes and post graduate diplomas in public administration, financial management and national law.
Earlier in the morning, the Chief Advisor of the Interim Government, Dasho Tshering Wangchuk awarded diplomas, scholastic honours and mementoes to the graduates. Academic toppers from their respective courses were also given the Award of Tashi Delek certificates.
At present, the institute conducts a series of training programmes ranging from diploma to master’s courses and management development programme among others.
The RIM was established in 1986 under the command of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo to develop the in-country capacity in administrative and managerial fields both in the government and private sectors.
