Parliamentarians say on Annual Audit Report

The parliament saw deliberation on the Annual Audit Report of 2012. The prominent issues that dominated the deliberation were making individuals and institutions held accountable for their actions. The need to have the audit clearance for employees of some of the corporate sectors in the country was discussed.

Dengue outbreak reported in Phuentshogling

An outbreak of Dengue fever has been reported in Phuentshogling. As per the records maintained with the Phuentshogling General Hospital, the number has increased significantly as compared to last year. On an average 13 cases are being reported in a month.

Bhutan loses to Tajikistan

Goods worth Nu.700,000 confiscated

The Regional Revenue and Customs Office in Phuentshogling confiscated goods worth Nu.700,000. The goods were intercepted on the highway near the customs office on Friday at around 8.30 pm. An informer tipped off the Customs officials.
