Her Majesty the Queen Mother, Tshering Pem Wangchuck, inaugurated Simply Bhutan, the first ever living museum in the country today. Simply Bhutan is a depiction of Bhutan’s ancient cultural heritage and living ways of Bhutanese people in olden days.

A 55-year-old man was mauled by a bear on Thursday in Dorona Gewog in Dagana. The incident took place at around 1pm while he was looking for his cow. He was about a kilometre away from his house.

Farmers in Bhutan can grow varieties of vegetables but only a few of them market the produce. In the semi-finals match of the ongoing Yangphel Open Archery Tournament played at the Changlimithang archery range, today, Team Yul Gyel made to the final by defeating team Sonam Automobiles and team Ice Berg in upper bacho.

The construction of farm road from Buli to Bardo and Shingkhar gewogs in Zhemgang began in 2006.  But the works are far from complete even after almost seven years. The delay in the completion of the 65-kilometre farm road was raised during the third Dzongkhag Tshogdu held recently.
