(Prostitution arrest update): Four more women have been arrested in Paro for prostitution after a thorough investigation by the police.

Education Ministry clarifies- termination last resort

“The policy is being in place to nurture and help children realise their full potential but not to punish the students,” said Education Secretary, Sangay Zam, in a press conference yesterday. The new policy of zero tolerance to indiscipline in schools has raised many eyebrows, especially parents having school going children. The Secretary said many people have misunderstood the difference between removal and expulsion.

Journalism students from Singapore on GNH tour

Trashigang hospital sees high number of alcohol related diseases

Trashigang district records the highest number of alcohol related health cases in the country every year.  It saw 75 cases of alcohol related diseases in 2011. And the number is increasing. Till June this year, 65 cases of alcohol related diseases were reported. Four people died of alcohol this year alone.
