A facelift for Dagana Dzong

Renovation of Daga Trashi Yangtse Dzong  is in full swing. Ever since the Dzong was built in 1651, no major renovation has been carried out until today. According to the Project Manager, Kinley Gyeltshen, they are trying to complete the renovation by June next year.

Ramjar Gup killed in accident

Fifty one years old Ramjar Gup of Trashiyangtse died on the spot when the Alto car he was driving, went off road at Mugthangkhar, along the Trashigang-Trashiyangtse highway. The accident occurred at 3 pm today.

RBP’s own service board

Wild animals captured on camera traps

For the first time ever, wild animals moving along the biological corridors connecting Royal Manas National Park to Phibsoo and Khaling Wildlife Sanctuaries were caught on the video camera. Biological corridors are meant for the movement of wildlife to keep their genetic flow healthy.

Shopkeepers in Dagana stand their ground

The shopkeepers in Dagana said they will not move until they are allotted a new plot. Over 40 shop owners of old Dagana town are yet to get the replacement land. About 30 of them have been allocated new plots.
