Druk Phuensum Tshogpas’s (DPT) foot soldiers in Haa have put up a complaint letter to the Election Commission of Bhutan, against People’s Democratic Party (PDP) alleging them of bribing.

DPT’s Gewog Coordinator, Mintu, said PDP’s Party workers have bribed 10 people under Sombaykha Constituency in Haa. He said Nima Tshering, PDP’s Party worker has given a cash sum of Nu. 17,000 to 10 people in Rangtse on June 15.

The accused, Nima Tshering, said he had given the money to his party members as a voucher allowance from his own pocket.

The Gewog Tshogpa, Phub Rinchen, after investigating the case said, even the Chipon of Rangtshe Gewog, Loku, received the cash.

The Dzongkhag Election Dispute Settlement Body is in Gakaling Dunkhag to investigate the case.
