In Gasa, the people of Damji and Jabisa Chiwog in Khamaed Gewog finally got a reliable irrigation water supply. The Sibjana Irrigation Water Supply Project, which began in September of last year was inaugurated today. The three-kilometre water supply project was carried out by about 80 Desuups under the Desuung National Service Water Project. The project cost almost Nu 18 M and is expected to enhance agricultural works in the two chiwogs. Earlier, without irrigation water, about 20 per cent of land in the two chiwogs was left fallow.
