Bhutan’s Para-badminton player, Sapuna Subba, lost in the quarter-finals of ‘Bahrain Para-badminton International 2022’. She won a match against Bahrain to reach the quarter-finals convincingly but lost to a player from England. Sapuna said that she will be putting in extra work knowing the stiff competition that is presented each year.
Sapuna Subba is the first para-athlete to win two bronze medals in international competition from the Asian Youth Para Games last year. Bahrain International is an open international badminton tournament sanctioned by Badminton World Federation and Badminton Asia.
