Bhutanese Women win by 40 runs against Kuwait Women

Bhutan Women won their first match in the Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier 2021 being played in the United Arab Emirates. Choosing to bat first, Bhutanese Women amassed 114 runs for six wickets. Kuwait Women chased the run only to fall short of 40 runs with all out at 19.3 overs.

Bhutan will play Nepal tomorrow at 3.30 pm (BST).

The top teams from the Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier 2021 will progress to the 2022 ICC Women’s World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament. In the qualifying tournament scheduled to happen in 2022, teams from various parts of the world will compete against each other to secure a spot in the ICC T20 World Cup 2023, which will be hosted by South Africa.
