Bhutan Trade Statistics shows import of noodles increasing, every year.
Last year, Bhutan imported noodles worth over Nu 450 M, an increase of Nu 150 M from 2012. In 2012, Bhutan imported noodles worth Nu 300 M.
Bhutan imports noodles from India and third countries like Thailand, Singapore and Japan.
The Department of Revenue and Custom imposes 40 percent import tax on noodles.
