In the ongoing BoB Bhutan Premier League, Thimphu City FC have reclaimed the top spot with a 2-1 victory over Tsirang FC, after defending champions Paro FC went top last week. However, with Paro FC just one point behind and a game in hand, the race for the league title remains wide open.
After eight matches, Thimphu City FC leads the table with 17 points, having won five, drawn two, and lost one. They have scored 19 goals while conceding just six.
Paro FC are second with 16 points from seven matches. Despite dropping to second, they remain the league’s most prolific side with 27 goals and boast the league’s best goal difference of plus 20.
RTC FC are third with 13 points from eight matches, followed by Transport United FC with 12 points from seven matches.
BFF Academy Under-20, Tsirang FC, and Thimphu FC are all level on 10 points, although BFF Academy has played one match fewer than the other two sides, keeping the battle for the top half of the table closely contested.
Drukpa FC are eighth with nine points, while Tensung FC remain ninth with five points.
At the bottom of the table, Ugyen Academy FC has collected just three points from eight matches and has conceded a league-high 33 goals.
With Paro FC still having a game in hand, the race for the Bhutan Premier League title remains wide open. A victory in their next fixture would see the defending champions reclaim the top spot.
