Tiger killed a pregnant cow at Nabji in Korphu Gewog, Trongsa at around 5 AM today. The carcass of the cow was spotted at a distance of around 100 meters away from the settlement.
According to the villagers, such an attack in the gewog periphery has happened for the first time.
The villagers who saw the pugmarks suspect a female tiger with a cub, prowling nearby the village settlement.
The incident has been reported to concerned officials.
Korphu Gewog falls under the Jigme SingyeWangchuck National Park.
