Although the price for chilli has doubled this year compared to last year, chilli yield in Zordoong village under Kangpar Gewog of Trashigang has gone down. Chilli production decreased after chilli plants started dying mysteriously earlier this year. This has left farmers distressed as chillies are one of the main cash crops of most families in the village.
