two-bears-rescued-and-releasedTwo giant male Himalayan black bears, rescued from Thimphu and Paro, have been released to the forest.

The one rescued from Wangsimu in Thimphu weigh 100 kilograms.  The bear was found trapped near an apple orchard.

The other one, weighing 95 kilogram, was rescued from Dawakha in Paro, earlier this week.

Both the bears had sustained minor injuries.

Wildlife conservation officials have rescued 14 bears this year alone.
