Bike expedition begins

Indo-Bhutan Bike expedition beginsA weeklong bike Expedition, organised by the members of Bhutan-India Friendship Association’s local chapter in Sarpang, started in Gelegphu, today.

The 20 bikers including the ones from Chirang district in the Indian state of Assam will ride through Sarpang, Thimphu, Paro, Trongsa, Bumthang and Samdrup Jongkhar.

During the expedition, the bikers will halt at various stages and interact with people and create awareness to foster and strengthen ties and cooperation between Bhutan and India.

The expedition is being organised to commemorate the 60th Birth anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
