His Majesty grants more than 20,000 acres land as kidu

HM--1His Majesty the King granted more than 20,000 acres land as Kidu to over 9000 beneficiaries from 11 Gewogs of Pema Gatshel, yesterday. His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen also hosted a Tokha to a gathering of more than 5000 people.
The kidu programme started with offering of Ku-Sung-Thuk Ghi Mendrel by the people of the Rabdey, Dzongkhag and the people of Pema Gatshel to His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen.
His Majesty the King then granted more than 20,960 acres of land as Kidu to 9,339 beneficiaries from the 11 Gewogs of Pema Gatshel.
His Majesty also granted exemptions to the thram-holders who are required to pay for excess land and those who had already paid were granted refund.HM3
Pema Gatshel is the 12th Dzongkhag to receive land kidu. Kidu is a nationwide exercise to resolve all accumulated land issues, once and for all.
Following the programme, people offered Tshogchang to His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen.
His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Gyaltseun also interacted with the people and shared portraits of the His Majesty the King and His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo.
