A Better Business Council will be established soon to create better business climate in the country. The announcement was made by the Economic Affairs Minister, Norbu Wangchuk, at the closing of the Business Summit, yesterday.
The Better Business Council will be chaired by the Prime Minister. The purpose of the council would be to bring up Bhutan’s ranking in the ease of doing business from 141 to 100.
The council will also coordinate, “Meet the Business People” to address the grievances of the entrepreneurs and industries.
Lyonpo Norbu Wangchuk said the first task of the council is to make sure the recommendations that emerged from the summit is taken on board and given the due respect that it deserve.
