Class X ToppersTandin Wangmo of Luntenzampa Middle Secondary School and Tashi Wangchuk of Bartsham Middle Secondary School, Trashigang topped the Bhutan Certificate of Secondary Education Class X 2013 examination. Both of them scored with 92.40 percent each.

Deki Tshomo Rinzin of Motithang Higher Secondary School stood second by scoring 92 percent. Mani Kumar Chhetri took the third place with 91.80 percent. He is from Peljorling Higher Secondary School, Samtse.

LCSCE ToppersIn the Language and Culture Studies Certificate Examination, Tendel Zangpo, scored 86.40 percent, taking the first position. Norbu stood second by scoring 80.60 percent followed by Sonam Tenzin with 79.80 percent.

A total of 10,840 candidates from 94 Middle and Higher Secondary Schools, including five private schools, had registered but only 10,659 of them actually appeared the examination.

A press release say there was an increase of 259 candidates appearing the examination as compared to last year.

A total of 10,225 candidates, constituting 95.93 pass percent, passed the examination.
