EU congratulates Bhutan for successful completion of elections

EU-Congratulation-Elections-2013The European Union High Representative and US state department congratulates Bhutan for the successful completion of the general elections on Saturday. They also said Bhutanese have demonstrated their commitment to peace and democracy, in an important period in the country’s development.

The High Representative recalls that the European Union is a committed partner of Bhutan and looks forward to continue strengthening its relationship and cooperation.

The United States says they are looking forward to working with the new Bhutanese Prime Minister and National Assembly on shared goals and aspirations.
