Some of the candidates of the two political parties, who did not make it through the Primary Round, have apparently been approached by People’s Democratic Party and Druk Phuensum Tshogpa to contest as their candidates in the General Round.
Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa’s President has confirmed that some of her Party’s candidates were approached. But Dorji Choden said the candidates are still considering if they should accept the tickets to swing to one party or the other. She said they will come to a final decision in couple of days. However, some of the Nyamrup’s candidates, who spoke to BBS, said they have refused the offer.
Similarly, Druk Chirwang Tshogpa’s President, Lily Wangchhuk, said a few of her candidates who were approached have decided to stick with DCT.
