The former NC MP Dr. Jagar Dorji secured least votes from Trongsa. He got the least votes, 706 votes including the postal ballot, amongst the three candidates vying for a seat in the National Council.
Tharchen, 33, who has been an educator for past eight years, secured maximum votes from the Dzongkhag. He got 2,083 votes including postal ballot.
Another candidate, Tashi Samdrup, 40, could manage 1,629 including postal ballot.
