Her Majesty the Gyaltsuen visited the Ability Bhutan Society centre, yesterday. Her Majesty is the patron of Ability Bhutan Society.
Her Majesty interacted with the children at the centre and their parents, and granted soelra to the children.
A presentation was made by Ability Bhutan Society on its vision, mission and programmes.
Ability Bhutan Society, a project of His Majesty’s Kidu Foundation, is a public benefit organization that aims to enhance the lives of individuals with intellectual and development disabilities.
The society was registered with the Civil Society Organization Authority of Bhutan in November 2011, and was officially inaugurated in April, last year.
There are at least 60 children with different disabilities registered with the centre.
