The first leg of the BOB Bhutan Women’s National League 2025 has wrapped up, setting the stage for an even more thrilling second leg. After Saturday’s matches, the league entered its second leg yesterday, and the points table already paints a fierce battle at the top.

After nine rounds of action, Paro FC Women lead the table with an unbeaten run, eight wins, and one draw against RTC Women FC, collecting 25 points with 89 goals to their name.

Sharing the same points tally as Paro, Transport United Ladies are placed second with 25 points, edged out only on goal difference after playing ten matches.

Transport United Ladies kicked off the second leg on a high note, overpowering Gelephu Girls Academy U-17 with a commanding 8 nil victory yesterday.

Hot on their heels, the defending champions, RTC Women FC, also remain unbeaten, boasting seven wins and two draws against Paro FC Women and Transport United Ladies.

With a staggering 109 goals scored and only one conceded, they sit in third place on 23 points.

RTC Women FC closed the first leg in style, thrashing last year’s runners-up Thimphu City Women FC 5-0 on Saturday

Last year’s runners-up, Thimphu City Women FC, finished fourth with 18 points after six wins and three losses.

In fifth, Gelephu Girls Academy U-20 collected 15 points, showing the strength of youth development. Close behind, Ugyen Academy Women FC claimed sixth place with 12 points.

At seventh, Samtse Women FC managed three wins to finish on nine points. Meanwhile, Gelephu Girls Academy U-17 ended in eighth with six points from two wins.

Gelephu City Women FC struggled with just a single win, finishing ninth on three points.

At the bottom, Phuntsholing Heroes Women FC endured a difficult campaign, failing to secure a point and finishing last.

With the second leg underway, the title race between Paro FC, RTC, and Transport United is heating up, promising high drama in the weeks ahead.

With records broken and young talent rising, the Women’s National League is proving to be more competitive than ever.
