The heightened search by the relatives and friends of the missing taxi driver has proved unsuccessful thus far. Twelve days have passed since the driver went missing from Dekiling, between Sarpang and Gelephu Highway.
The cab driver who is suspected to have been kidnapped went missing on October 22 at around 7 pm.
Gelephu Taxi Tshogpa, BB Bhujel, said there is nothing much they can do now except seek help from the government authorities to locate their friend.
He also said the kidnappers haven’t demanded anything, not even a single penny. “The police have restricted anybody from calling the missing driver, fearing a backlash.”
