The annual Dzongkhag School sports meet of Bumthang ended yesterday. Over 600 students from different schools within the dzongkhag took part in the meet. The tournaments were hosted by Ura Middle Secondary School. During the meet, students competed in various indoor and outdoor events such as basketball, football, chess and table tennis.
The main event during the meet was the finals of the senior level football tournament.
In football, Jakar Higher Secondary School defeated Sonam Kuenphen Higher Secondary School with three goals against one and took away the rolling trophy.
The sports meet was organized by the Dzongkhag Education Office.
