After more than three years, people of Godraang_Taagsar chiwog under Dangchhu Gewog in Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag picked up their age-old bamboo craft from this year.

The fine art of bamboo weaving was one of the main income sources for the people in the past, however, locals could not continue the business after the bamboo in their are started dying. With bamboo available again, they are once again into the craft business.

People mostly make bamboo carpets and sell to nearby district. They barter their bamboo carpets with local rice. The bamboo carpets are mostly using for drying paddy and other grains.

The bamboos grow mostly at the altitude of 2,500 metres above the sea level.
