Hotel owner starts Farmers’ Market in Thimphu to support a struggling farmers group

A hotel owner in Thimphu has come to the rescue of a struggling farmers group by starting a Farmers’ Market to sell culinary herbs.

The farmers’ group at Geney Gewog in Thimphu started growing the herbs to supply for tourists standard hotels in the country. But with the hospitality industry being one of the most affected due to travel restrictions across the globe, finding a market for their produce has become a challenge.
