Coinciding with Buddha’s parinirvana, the Prime Minister launched the commemorative logo of His Majesty The King’s 40th birth anniversary in Changangkha Lhakhang, today.

Describing the logo, the logo designer Dasho Karma Ura, said that the thousand-spoked golden wheel symbolises a beneficial movement of the King who travels everywhere for the happiness and wellbeing of the people. The raven crown inside the wheel depicts the distinctive Buddhist monarchy of Bhutan and the Dzongkha-cursive forty represents a symbol of sun and moon, which shines on the world with their blazing luminosity.
