The People’s Democratic Party has elected, Yogesh Tamang, 50, as the new Secretary General of the Party. He officially joined the office from yesterday. He is from Tsirang. He has been working as a freelance consultant with a private firm.
Yohesh Tamang said that he joined PDP as he believes in the Party’s ideologies and principles. He said he believed that Party can deliver its promises to the citizens. When asked what changes he wants to see in PDP as a Secretary General: “Structure functional secretariat with the president, vice–president, treasurer and other office bearers. I would also like to see very committed members and supporters and also increase the numbers,” adding that, he would like to see the Party win in the 2013 elections.
Meanwhile, the PDP convention will be held on May 19. At the convention, they will be electing the Party president, vice-president and the executive members.
